Baba Ram Rahim News On Restoring Nature
Growing climate change, declining
fresh water resources, and disappearing green cover throughout the world are
hinting at a rising global environmental crisis. According to UNESCO, by 2030,
over 700 million people could be displaced due to intense water scarcity.
Today, we need sustainable
initiatives to restore the scarce water supply and rebuild declining forest
cover faster. Dera Sacha Sauda, a non-government organization, is actively
promoting environmental protection initiatives following the teachings of spiritual
master and social reformer, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
Recently, Saint Baba Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan
initiated two welfare acts focusing on rainwater harvesting and mini
forests/pocket forests creation to promote nature conservation.
Nature Conservation
Initiatives by Dera Sacha Sauda
Dera Sacha Sauda, headquartered
in Sirsa, Haryana, is a renowned organization known for its groundbreaking
welfare initiatives, including Mega Tree Plantation, Birds Nurturing, and the
use of renewable energy sources.
Over the past two decades, Dera
Sacha Sauda disciples have planted more than 1.7 billion trees across the
globe, of which 70% of those trees are healthy and thriving, adding more life
and balance to the ecosystem.
With the mission to serve
humanity, nurture nature, and serve God’s creation, spiritual master, Saint Dr.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, always promotes nature conservation acts at
Dera Sacha Sauda. This year, his holiness initiated two new welfare acts,
bringing the total number of acts to 170.
169th Welfare Act by Dera
Sacha Sauda: Rainwater Harvesting
Many regions in India and across
the globe face a serious water shortage, which affects daily life and
agricultural activities. Despite seasonal rains, millions of liters of
rainwater go to waste due to a lack of rainwater harvesting.
169th welfare act, initiated by
Saint Dr. MSG Insan, focuses on actively promoting rainwater harvesting
practices by encouraging communities to collect and conserve rainwater through tanks, harvesting pits, and
other effective methods.
By collecting and conserving
rainwater, people can access clean and usable water even in regions plagued by
a hard-water crisis. It will reduce dependency on groundwater, thus helping
maintain the depleting water levels and promoting sustainable water conservation.
In villages, rainwater harvesting
tanks can be established at a very low cost. The harvested water can meet a
major share of irrigation needs throughout the year, improve crop yield, and
bring prosperity to farmers.
170th Welfare Act by Dera
Sacha Sauda: Mini Forests/Pocket Forests
Deforestation and declining soil
fertility are creating an ecological imbalance, affecting wildlife and
vegetation on a large scale. Mini forests, an afforestation method, offer an
effective solution to revive soil fertility, enhance biodiversity, and create
green zones that provide pure air and filter pollution.
This welfare act promotes the
concept of Mini forests, encouraging farmers with huge farmlands to dedicate
just 1 acre (or an even smaller portion) of their farm land to plant a variety
of fruit-bearing, native, and medical trees and create a dense mini forest.
For farmers with small fields, it
is recommended to plant trees along the farm boundaries, which will serve as a
natural barrier for soil, reducing erosion and improving fertility. This
small-scale practice will also improve local biodiversity while increasing the
overall harvest yields for farmers.
The Collective Impact of
Nature Conservation Acts by Dera Sacha Sauda
Dera Sacha Sauda’s collective
efforts on nature conservation demonstrate how small efforts can turn out to be
significant, transforming communities and ecosystems.
On August 15, 2011, the disciples
of Dera Sacha Sauda had planted 1,945,535 saplings across India to celebrate
the Incarnation Day of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, earning a
Guinness Book of World Record.
This Mega Tree Plantation
tradition was started in 2007 and continues to date. Guided by the divine
foresight of Saint Dr. MSG, millions of disciples celebrate significant life
events—such as birthdays or commemorating a loved one—by planting trees and performing
selfless humanitarian service.
Let’s Join Hands and Save Our
Mother Nature
Nature is the very foundation of
life, sustaining creation, regulating climate, and balancing biodiversity. Be
it protecting forests, conserving water, nurturing birds, and building green
spaces, every effort contributes to a healthier planet.
When millions of hands come
together, even the smallest effort creates a lasting impact. Baba Ram Rahim Singh Ji is in news
for doing lot’s of humanity works. He planted the seed of nature conservation,
inspiring millions, and today that seed has grown into a flourishing tree,
adding life and beauty to Mother Nature every day.
Let’s join these initiatives on
rainwater harvesting and more with a shared commitment. By planting trees,
conserving rainwater, and supporting initiatives like mini-forests, we can
collectively rebuild ecosystems, improve agricultural productivity, and create
greener, healthier surroundings for ourselves and the coming generations.
